The Fashion Institute of Amsterdam’s University of Applied Sciences offers undergraduate courses in fashion design, management and branding. Roughly a quarter of applicants gain places at the college, which has one of the most internationally diverse BA student bodies, according to our survey. During their studies, students from the three distinct fashion courses work on collaborative projects. Each course includes a six-month internship in the third year, although students were generally dissatisfied with the work placements they completed, according to our survey. Students graded the university’s campus, resources, marketing and business courses poorly and careers services were deemed below average. However, the school’s teaching on sustainability was ranked the highest in our student survey and 100 percent of the students surveyed stated that they felt prepared for the fashion industry.
